Actually, "bad design" and "incomplete implementation," either of
which would break on other architectures than the i386 that can use
the drives in question are the reason why "bounce buffers," in
particular, haven't been included.

Somebody (me) is working on a _good_ design, but i don't have very
much time to spend on it and other things have much higher priority.
