I asked about this a _long_ time ago; apparently, when I was new to CVS,
I tried to put all of the source under CVS control, but it turned out to
be too much hassle.  Shortly before deleting my sup area I must have
"checked out" instead of "exporting".  Hence, the CVS areas (and probably
mangled RCS keywords).  Oh well, live and learn, then buy bigger disk drives.
