As far as I know the closest to a *BSD port has been done by
David Boyce (email@example.com) who were kind enough to send his BSD/OS
patches to the java-port-bsd list. (If you wan't it, mail me)

One of these days (don't hold your breath :-), I'll be looking at it for
NetBSD (and SunOS-4.1.4)
