I'm inclined to say that it must be a file system problem of some sort,
Iain built a kernel on doublesix, and the same kernel boots and works fine
on doublesix, Whatever it is, It's +weird+ especially as 1.1 works fine on
the same machine.

Iain is reinstalling the whole box an option? If you're near London you could
bring it round mine and we could do an install off doublesix?

Or is anyone else using an OPUS sparc clone machine and not having these
problems?

Neil.
