I use mail exclusively. I used to use elm in a former life (when
the Linux box didn't even *have* /bin/mail as such) and I must say
it always frustrated me.

I agree. That is why there is the "dp" command: delete current and
show next.

I would have liked this a few times. In fact, I tried it a few times,
having forgotten it didn't work.
