I certainly do not feel the core members are trying to avoid fixing
things... I've seen more pr's fixed in the last several months than I
have ever seen before. Of course, perhaps I pay more attention to
them since i send in some, too. I've had about 6 applied with three
still pending, one of which should be deleted since it no longer
fits reality. (the code changes around the fix)
I _do_ notice, however, that the fastest way to get things into the
tree is to find a friendly core member and ask them personally. This
isn't a good idea, and I do this only on the most important matters,
which is to say twice.
I _do_ think there needs to be more members with CVS write access.
Having more bodies in there would make life much easier on core, and
get pr's examined faster. It would also help to find someone with
compatible priorities.
I also think core and the port maintainers are doing a good job -- as
good as can be expected with the situation. It's a good feeling to
see a change, and to see one that was a pr is even better.
