If you don't preallocate swap, you start seeing messages like:

pid XXXXX killed due to swap error
pid XXXXY killed: Cannot allocate swap space, sorry

[Vague memory, but I've seen this happen on other platforms.]

Now, if it's going to do this, perhaps it should kill off the *most*
recent process, as the *least* recent process is the one most in need
of the swap space.

Has anyone run out of swap yet?
