I don't know how that statement's author meant it. But I feel that I'm
an example of it, so perhaps I can explain what _I_ take it to mean.
It just means that we sue older-than-state-of-the-art machines. My
NetBSD/sun3 at home is a Sun-3/150; I don't think Sun supports it at
all any longer, certainly not in software terms. I'm working on
getting an sc driver working for the -3/260, which is probably even
older.
> In the sense that NetBSD only ports to "old" computers?
No, more in the sense that a lot of old computers end up in the hands
of NetBSD-community people who want to run a real OS on them. The
ports-only-to-old-machines bit is obviously false; just look at
NetBSD/alpha.
