As a result of Xmas, I am in possession of a 28.8 USR PnP Sportster.
I usually fire up kermit to start my PPP link. I have set it identically to
my 14.4 USR (non PnP) Sportster. However, if for one reason or another pppd
doesn't work, and I need to fire up kermit for the second time, the machine
will lock hard. Don't know if this is a related problem or not, and what
may get frobbed or be different on the 28.8, but a PPP link across the 28.8
is unstable at best.(Even at 14.4) System is otherwise stable, running
1.1, with scsi, ne2000 and vlb video.
