   This can happen if you have a kernel named /netbsd, but boot a
   different kernel.  Anything that uses kvm will break in this case; but
   LKMs are especially susceptible.

i thought this really depends on what kvm_mkdb was run against.  i've
often thought it would be Cool if /etc/rc was passed the pathname of
the kernel that was running.  we could make kvm_mkdb use this.
