I haven't looked into the named situation much, but I'm curious: are
we running an old version of named, or the latest version that Paul
Vixie's been working on? If the former, maybe we should just check
Paul's named into the tree. He's fixed a *lot* of caching problems,
and a lot of other problems as well.
