You do NOT want getty runing on your mouse port!  The /etc/ttys line
for my mouse looks something like:

/dev/tty01	"/usr/libexec/getty std.9600"	off local

...and I have no problems in X.

GWM 1.8a was released recently.  It can emulate mwm.  It's in
file://ftp.x.org/contrib/window_managers/
I'm not using it yet, but I plan to check it out.
