Wouldn't it be OK to keep the includes (at least most of them) in
/usr/src/include as they are and add a new dir? This new dir would be
the place where "modules" "export" their "public" includes.

I suppose there are includes which are generated by the build process
but even if they were just copied these includes should be regarded as
"derived objects" and therefore the installation should take into
account obj dirs.
