Late breaking CCP news from the PPPEXT mailing list: Frank Kastenholz,
the Internet Area co-director with responsibility for the PPP working
group, has "officialy" come to the conclusion that Motorola has no
plans to do what's necessary regarding their patent on dictionary resets
to advance the CCP standard to publishable status (i.e. spell out in
a public document what the terms and conditions of the license will
be). Never mind the LZW license, CCP *without* compression might be
a patent violation :-).
There hasn't been any reaction on the list yet. People may be busy
looking in the Yellow Pages for farm stands selling fertilizer... :-)
