I did some digging, and it appears he's right.  I don't see any
nameservers close to the two sites (Berkeley and MIT) who have it as
anything other than sun-lamp (with a Berkeley IP address).

Maybe someone DID forget to increment the serial number after changing
the DNS record.  (Assuming a DNS record was changed in the first
place.)
