I am unable to get the generic kernel to boot on my machine.

I have a 486 with a Buslogic scsi card.

Durring boot it probes and thinks it finds an Adaptec card,
a buslogic card, and a segate scsi card. After the probe, there is an attemt
to set the root device and it hangs here.

If I take the adaptec entry out of the GENERIC config file all goes well.

I have had this problem since the merge of the AH and BT config files.

I supped yesterday and the problem still existed.

Has anyone else had this problem.
