   I'll go ahead and throw in my 2 cents worth:
   
   I've been using this code for a while now...I have seen *zero* of the 
   `problems' that people are reporting...on hp300s, or i386s.  
   
   Just RTFS...MNT_FORCE doesn't really have anything to do with whether or 
   not a filesystem gets flushed during unmount...
   
   In anycase, the ~5gb of filesystems on my i486 at work have been *more* 
   reliable if anything when using fsclean, and there's the added bonus of a 
   reboot cycle in ~1 minute.

if this is the code charles's send out a few months ago then
it's different;  i've been running that code for ages, and
haven't had a problem, but i did with the newer code.
