My setup looks like:

ep0: flags=b863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,LINK0,LINK1,MULTICAST>
        inet 149.77.12.127 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 149.77.12.255
ep1: flags=b863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,LINK0,LINK1,MULTICAST>
	inet 149.77.254.9 netmask 0xfffffff8 broadcast 149.77.254.15

Where the subnet on ep1 is my home network. When the machine boots I get:

arp_rtrequest: bad gateway value

When I had my network configured as a regular class C, routing worked fine.
Now it does not [i.e. my machine does not recognize that it is a gateway for
the fractional ip network].
