Perhaps "stupid" is not the word you would want to use, and you don't want
to put it into a negative light, for there is no faster way to get a door
shut in your face than to start off the conversation with, "Hi! I want
to let you know that you're an idiot because...".

Try something along the lines of "You know, there's a lot of FreeBSD/
NetBSD/Linux users out here and we'd like to port NetScape to this
environment because we find it useful."

Of course, since NetScape is *NOT* freeware in any sense of the word,
they may well be justified in their negative response to our good
intentions unless you get together a specific team of programmers and
have them all sign on a non-disclosure agreement.

 * X app that runs on several systems, including SunOS, is going to be an
 * easy port.)
