ed0 really is a WD card, from before they got turned into SMC, so it's
not one of the newer Ultras, but I understand the differences are
quite minor.

They work together with no trouble at all, as I suspect they do in
thousands of other machines.  If there are problems, it will likely be
because people are configuring them to conflict.

I use SAMBA on the unix machines, with clients running Windows for
Workgroups and the MS TCP/IP-32 VxD driver, and this has worked very
well.
