Sorry you had bad luck getting audio code interest from the net.  John
Brezak has been working things over quite substantially, and I've sent
him SBPro changes recently for his next beta-release (includes stereo
recording on SBPro.  ).

His driver set includes Microsoft Sound System, a Pro Audio Spectrum (in
SB mode, sorry), and SoundBlaster/Pro. SB-16 shouldn't be too much work,
given one to test.
