   miscellany: How can you get deferred mail in the mqueue to attempt to
   resend?  I've got 8+ msgs in there.

As root run: sendmail -q

this tells sendmail to run through the queue and try to send whatever
is in mqueue if possible. You better check your logs to see why those
mails aren't going out if you have 8-megs in there :-)
