     a make build of SUP to yesterday blows up doing shared lib installs.
  
  Well, that's about as vague as you could possibly get.  HOW does it `blow up'?

when libc.so.12 is installed, install and almost all shared binaries fail
thereafter. I have been told to try COMPAT_10 in my kernel before doing
the make build.

Sound sane?
