There are at least four implementations of parallel port IP that I know
of, all of which are incompatible.  I would suggest that you implement
the same protocol as the Crynwr driver, if it's reasonable, since that
is probably the most widely used.

Of course, header compression might be useful on such a low-bandwidth
link, too...
