Sigh. The fourth one today (and I see there are more coming...). I think
it's time for a short information message here, which follows here:

It is customary for *all* mailing lists to have an "administrator address"
which is separate from the mailing list address. It is considered rude or
impolite to send "subscribe" or "unsubscribe" messages to the list proper
-- these messages will be distributed to all members of the mailing list.
This is typically *not* what you want, since it tends to irritate many if
not all the recipients of the message.

The NetBSD mailing lists are managed by a program called "majordomo", and
you may (for example) remove yourself from a given mailing list by sending
a message containing a command to do so to majordomo@netbsd.org. Send a
message with the single word "help" in the body of your message to that
address -- you will then receive information on how you can proceed.
