No.  You just read a description of what uugetty does :-)
Actually I've been using the mgetty from sendfax+mgetty for months
(Feb 27 was last change to /etc/ttys), ever since I reverted to the
standard com.c in fact.  It works fine.  And if my modem worked
properly, I could send/receive faxes too!

Don't flame me, I'm not saying uugetty is cool, but in the absence of
cua devices, its better than nothing.  Mind you, my mgetty is based on
a rather old version and has a number of mods to work with NetBSD (I
did it before VMIN etc were implemented in termios), and to support a
modemcap file (ala termcap) rather than requiring all your modems to be
identical.  When I upgrade to NetBSD-1.0, I'll re-port the latest
