current-users: fsck woes

i supped and have the new fsck. is there any hope i can get fsck to fix
what the old fsck messed up? (regarding the new filesystem directory in
the old filesystem directory. its still seg fault'ing on me. i assume i
can't fsck -c 2 with this cruft around.
