I have been running my old XFree86-2.0 binaries (from ftp.laas.fr
circa Feb 9) on a system from Saturday (Jun 18) sources.  It is
working ok, though I have had some lockups.  It appeared from modem
traffic that the machine was up ok, just the console wedged, but since
I don't have a terminal handy and mountd bugs were keeping the
diskless sun3 from booting (now working around them), I could only
press the big red button.  These happened to me frequently for a few
days, then mysteriously disappeared (with the same kernel).

When I ftp'd the new 2.1 and 2.1.1 binaries from ftp.laas.fr, I get
just the startup messages telling me what I put it Xconfig, then it
blinks the screen like it's changing resolutions and back or
something, and exits.  I have not seen "Broken pipe" or any other
error message.
