Tracing through a lcall into the kernel is well known to cause a break
into DDB. This has been the case since 386BSD. Feel free to fix it,
but I'll warn you that it's not as simple as you might think. (I really
haven't given it all that much thought, since it frankly seems to be a
low priority to me.)
