The mach8/32 series of boards use the COM4 PIO space, so there's no need to
figure out why they don't work with COM4; they just plain-old won't. This
is a problem with DOS/Windows too.
I think, as John Brezak mentioned, that at least the S3 chips also use COM4
PIO space.
