     I do believe that the 'l' in 'lseek' stands for long, as in the
offset arg is long.  Smack ANSI for changing the semantics of it.
Note that in OSF/1 offset_t (or whatever) is defined as long and long
is 64 bits, which gets you very big files (somewhere in the
terabytes).
