Using -current sources from last weekend's tar balls on NetBSD/SPARC:
We just crossed into Daylight Savings but NetBSD didn't notice:
netbsd4me:273 # date
Sun Apr 3 01:01:56 PST 1994
netbsd4me:274 # unsetenv TZ
netbsd4me:275 # date
Sun Apr 3 01:02:04 PST 1994
netbsd4me:276 # setenv TZ US/Pacific
netbsd4me:277 # date
Sun Apr 3 01:02:19 PST 1994
Hmmn, let's pretend we're in Colorado: :-)
netbsd4me:278 # setenv TZ US/Mountain
netbsd4me:279 # date
Sun Apr 3 03:02:28 MDT 1994
That's still wrong (my clock is still an hour off, even with GMT), but better.
netbsd4me:280 # setenv TZ foo
netbsd4me:281 # date
Sun Apr 3 09:07:24 GMT 1994
(It's really 10:07 GMT now)
netbsd4me:282 # setenv TZ US/Pacific-New
netbsd4me:283 # date
Sun Apr 3 01:02:42 PST 1994
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 30 Apr 3 01:01 /etc/localtime@ -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Pacific
netbsd4me:284 # rm /etc/localtime
netbsd4me:285 # ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Pacific-New /etc/localtime
netbsd4me:286 # date
Sun Apr 3 01:08:53 PST 1994
So now us West-Coasters are 2 hours behind the times ... :-(
