Arrrrrgh... this is getting annoying...

I can't build new libraries...

    ranlib libc.a
    *** Signal 11

I can't link new binaries...

    cc -o ranlib archive.o build.o misc.o ranlib.o touch.o
ld: malformatted header of archive member in /usr/lib/libgcc.a
    *** Error code 1

This is using the binaries that were just released on sun-lamp
(actually, got mine from ftp.iastate.edu -- they were mirrored this
afternoon). I was building with the share/mk files, include files and
source files I supped today.

Am I doing something wrong? Ps and ls work ok now thanks to the
provided binaries, but I still can't compile anything. The kernel is
the one Charles built for me to test the bt SCSI code on the 29th:

    NetBSD 0.9a (MINDBENDER) #0: Tue Mar 29 00:00:10 PST 1994
      mycroft@sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu:/d/users/mycroft/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/MINDBENDER

Help! It makes me nervous when my system is in such an unstable
state.

(Don't take this as a flame... I know this will be awesome new stuff
once all the kinks are worked out... I just need help with the kinks.)
