I just seen a book the other day that looked like it covered this information
in some detail, although not as much as I would like. It covered basic
things like floppy controller, western digital hard drive controller,
serial ports, and the like. I don't think it touched SCSI, or anything
interesting like that, but I may have missed something. The book
was called "Undocumented PC". From the same authors as "Undocumented DOS"
and "Undocumented Windows". Check it out, looked 1/2 way decent.
