Hmm, COM_BDIR??  Is this similar to the cua devices on Suns?  I need 
such a beastie.  As it is, right now I have to futz ttys and HUP init 
to dial out (yeah I only got two com ports and the mouse is on one...).

If this isn't it, is there something similar to this?
