Is there really a point of including software in othersrc that just
compiles out-of-the-box on NetBSD?  Does it really make sense to
maintain an out of date version of software, rather than just a pointer
to where it can be fetched from?

I suppose it would be different if the software was a mandatory part
of the base system, like sh or tar.
