I would sure appreciate it.

I recently purchased a drive.  It has a Mitsumi controller, and is a 
caddy-less CDROM drive.  It works OK with DOS (which I understand is not 
really a significant data point) and seems to work IF I comment out the loop 
during the probe phase (tell the probe
that it worked).

In other words, I have a few specific questions about the drive that I would 
really appreciate some help with.  I appreciate your time.
