Shouldn't there be a line in /etc/newsyslog.conf that
accounts for /var/account/acct, or even better shouldn't
information older than a certain date be forgotten auto-

At the moment the file sometimes grows to a size of
more than 80 Mb. Or should one be evaluating it somehow
and deleting it after that ?

The cost of living hasn't affected it's popularity. (unknown)
