Some time ago i bought an external Apple CDROM Drive (something with 150
in its name) from a local discounter for 400,-DM (i think this is roughly
230 US$). It has a real nice metal case, cinch connectors for sound,
centronics type SCSI connectors - all in all i'm VERY satisfied with it.
The drive is a SONY brand, but with Apple specific firmware; it runs
without any problems. The only drawback is, that it's a bit slow. And, i
never tried to use the "normal" CD playing commands - i have heard there
should be problems with that because of the Apple specific firmware.
