Hi,

I think I have found the cause of the mysterious hangs I was
experimenting since the introduction of MACHINE_NONCONTIG in the
kernel: I have to disable 'memory remapping' in the CMOS setup of my
machine (A Orchid 486DX33 Local Bus Motherboard with 256ko cache and
16 Mo main memory).

I don't know the exact impact of this option on the memory setup, but
now my machines works like a charm.

If someone could explain me what's going on, I would learn someting
new.
