I'm running NetBSD-current with both an IDE drive and a SCSI drive. The
IDE drive basically holds a 10MB root partition, from which I boot NetBSD.
The rest of my filesystems, including swap, reside on a SCSI drive.

Anyways, I have experienced no problems with "trash getting written onto
my partitions." NetBSD-current has worked flawlessly with my setup, and
I've had no problems that I could attribute to the wd driver.

Which partitions are you talking about? Your NetBSD partition? Or a
foreign filesystem partition?
