I tried connecting a Fujitsu M2511A removable 128Mb optical (SCSI) to
my "current" machine the other day - it did not appear to recognize
it.  It probed ok but the "sd" driver would not talk to it. A brief
look at the code showed that "type 7" (optical) drives would not be
recognized.

is anyone working on this or has a fix already been made?  (this thing
will eject also, so some sort of ioctl from user space is desirable).
I guess I'll look at how sunos does this...
