OK, i've spent a good amount of the time that i've been in town
recently trying to get the source tree to compile completely and work.
As far as i can tell, as of the CVS update last night, it does.

That is, /usr/src on sun-lamp builds completely. Also, i've got
it installed on one of my machines here, and it seems to work.
(ps and w work properly with current kernels, and have for a bunch
of days, for those of you out there still having problems with them.
if you're having problems, you've missed *something*...)

anyway, to mark this occasion, i've created a new set of tar files
which are now on sun-lamp and agate for your downloading pleasure.

For those of you ftp'ing single files, one file that was updated
since yesterday wasn't listed in the list of updated files:
src/gnu/usr.bin/gcc2/libgcc/libgcc2.c. Also, sys.mk was reverted
to the version of 2 days ago. the current version (which will
appear in tomorrow's update) has some problems, but the version
in NetBSD-current tonight is OK.

I'm going to be out of town for a few days, but i've made
slightly better provisions to take care of things in case lamp
crashes, this time... In any case, i've made sure the tar files are
on agate. If as many of you as possible could test them, it'd be much
appreciated.

happy new year!

chris
