I have a working sio driver (as of about current a month ago - changes
may have affected it).

The core team think its not worth integreating, and I agree with them
that the code is crap, and likly to break all over. However, it works
for on my 82450 UART based portablt at 57600... so even the crap
version is great for me. I can send anyone the three files needed...
well, two plus changes to icu.s.
