playing with other lbl code (specifically the "bootbootp" code,
or whatever it is), they do absolutely *nothing* "the right way"...

i've for a while wanted to get a branding iron which said "htonl()"
or something, and go up to lbl and use it on McCanne's forehead
so that when typing he'd see the reflection in the monitor...  8-)

but, closer to reality:
