OK,

I have to know. Will one of the people in the know *please* explain
the magnum branch. Like I understand from reading between the lines
that it is more "4.4" like; but when will it be available ? Are we
plebs likely to see alpha/beta version before 1.0 ?

And a quick run down of advantages etc would be great.
