If you are getting true-to-life hardware errors, using a different OS isn't
going to fix them!

Do you have any external devices?  If so, unplug them and try again.  Also,
check your terminators.  If they're right, make them wrong.  ;)  Seriously,
the C revision has problems with the external bus, so twiddle with the
settings and such.
