 Another thing... the exit status reported by Stathis was potentially
 pointing towards another functional issue, i.e. EACCESS (128+13=141):

      13 EACCES Permission denied.  An attempt was made to access a file in
 a
              way forbidden by its file access permissions.

 Here's the ktrace'd log. Note that it's globbing a _lot_ more directories
 than it should; also, there is a functional issue with access(2) on
 FreeBSD still where it reports that files are readable / writable even
 when they might not be -- so in conclusion, don't trust access(2) (at
 least not yet)!
