It seems that our problem (Diego Cortassa, me and som other User) of a
panic error in the 1.1 generic kernel is due to the MFCIII support...
:-(

Removing the MFCIII board result in a smooth and painless
installation... Now Diego is building a new kernel WITHOUT MFCIII
support :-(((

Can someone explain why this strange behaviour of the kernel and
maybe an other workaround to use our MFCIII ?

And: how about support for Oktagon SCSI2 controller (I think it is a
_cheap_ and good SCSI controller [well, not state-of-the-art :-)]) ?

Ciao
