i didn't have enough VM i guess... i made a 100MB swap,
and i've had X, twm, xterm, xeyes, xclock, wish4.0, oclock, and xcalc
all going at the same time, with no vm_fault.

it thrashes better than International Harvester, but it stays up.

i'd have to say the INSTALL instructions badly underestimate
the amount of swap needed.

(i found a strong implication in INSTALL that you could only have
about twice as much swap as fast mem.  i think that bit should
be rewritten to make it clear you can have a huge swap space.
